Dwarves gorging on watermelons, and a shipwreck. Genuinely the title of this piece by Faustino Bocchi (1659-1741). My favourite painting at Scotney Castle. I think Mr Bocchi may have been hitting the opiates rather hard circa 1700 Italy! Reminds me of Josh Kirby’s Discworld cover artwork.
